OrKidstra’s Annual Chamber Recital
Some of you were unable to attend last Thursday’s joyous concert; some of you were there, and wanted MORE. All is not lost! There is a short concert at the Bronson Centre (in Mac Hall) this Friday, June 20th at 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Open to the public, this concert highlights some of the senior individuals and ensembles within KidPlayers.
You can look forward to hearing both the wind and string chamber ensembles as well as our new reed quartet. It will also feature multiple solos/duets: Peter on clarinet, Emily Yu on cello, Ngoc Kim on viola, Declan on euphonium, Gareth on cello, Gareth and Declan performing a duet (cello and bass). All five of these players have won seats with the Ottawa Youth Orchestra program. They are very good.
The OrKidstra Quintet will also be making their debut with Kafele on 1st violin. They will perform the Dvorak Quintet in C.
This will be a wonderful evening filled with very talented and wonderful young people. Plus, there is no provincial election on Friday to tie you to the TV and the main stage at JazzFest doesn’t start till 8:30, so c’mon along.
