Viennese Opera Ball 2014
On February 1, 2013, the Chateau Laurier was alive with music, dancing and traditional Austrian cuisine at the Viennese Opera Ball 2014. The evening began with the most unique feature of the evening – the presentation of the Debutantes and Cavaliers dressed in floor length white ball gowns and black tuxedos in a traditional Polonaise.The Viennese Opera Ball’s main focus is to give back to the community, while taking the Ottawa community through some of the most beautiful traditions of the Austrian Culture.
Tina Fedeski, Executive Director of The Leading Note Foundation was on hand, showcasing her talents on the flute and piccolo as part of the live band for the evening.
The goal of this year’s ball was to raise $100,000 for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, while a portion of funds raised went to benefit the OrKidstra program thanks to RBC Foundation, Platinum Sponsor of the Ball.
