OTTAWA, Ont. – June 3, 2019 – OrKidstra invites you to experience the joy of music at their Centretown Hub End-of-Year Concert on Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 PM at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre, 355 Cooper St., Ottawa. Hundreds of OrKidstra students will inspire and entertain you with their skill, energy and unbridled joy. This concert will feature a wonderful array of classical, jazz, world music and sing-along favourites – fun for the whole family!
OrKidstra empowers kids and builds community through music. OrKidstra students recently entertained Ottawa and the world as part of CROSSINGS: the NAC Orchestra 50th Anniversary European Tour, at the Canada Day 150 Celebrations with international superstar Alessia Cara, in Mexico City led by world-famous Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and many more! OrKidstra’s growing success demonstrates the power that music holds to transform the lives of youth from under-served Ottawa areas and help them realize their true potential.
OrKidstra’s biggest concert of the year will take place on Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 PM at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre, 355 Cooper St., Ottawa. Tickets not required – donations in support of OrKidstra welcome.

OrKidstra is a charitable social development program that empowers kids from under-served areas of Ottawa by teaching life skills through playing and singing music together. With the passionate belief in the transformative power of music, OrKidstra started with 27 children in 2007. OrKidstra now has over 700 children ages 5 to 18 from 62 linguistic and cultural backgrounds. OrKidstra provides children from low-income families with free music lessons, instruments and performance opportunities to which they would not otherwise have access.
