CAMP OrKidstra 2025: Bursting with Music, Friendship & Summer Magic!
CAMP OrKidstra 2025 was a joyful success, running from July 3–11, 2025, and packed with music, mentorship, and summer fun!
The first two days of the day camp welcomed our older students into OrKidstra’s “Leaders in Training” (LiT) program, helping them develop leadership skills. In the second week, these LiTs put their training into action by mentoring younger campers alongside staff.
Almost 90 students took part in individual and group music lessons, engaging workshops, games, outdoor fun, recreational outings, and much more at CAMP OrKidstra!

Mornings were filled with musical rehearsals and performances, while afternoons brought games, tie-dye shirts, crafts, musical improv, team-building, and park fun in the summer sun.
A highlight of the week was our “Play and Tell” event on Thursday, July 10, where all participants took the stage to showcase their musical talents for friends and family at the Centre Hub. On the final day, we visited the Canadian Museum of History, then wrapped up CAMP with a special outdoor theatre performance of Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors by a Company of Fools at Patterson Creek Park.
