Thank you for joining us in supporting OrKidstra and its charitable mission to empower kids and build community through music. Together, we are helping to create a brighter future for kids from equity-deserving Ottawa communities!
OrKidstra means a lot to both of us; we have seen firsthand the positive impact it can have on a child’s life. Every donation to OrKidstra helps to cover the costs of lessons, instruments, program coordination, and more, making a significant difference in our community. Here are some examples of what it costs to support a child for one year in the OrKidstra after-school program:
$750 sponsors a student in KidSingers or KiddlyWinks
$3,000 sponsors a Beginner level instrumentalist
$4,000 sponsors a Junior level instrumentalist
$5,000 sponsors an Intermediate level instrumentalist
$6,000 sponsors a Senior level instrumentalist
If you’d like to play your part in changing a child’s life through the power of music, donations to OrKidstra can be made by cheque, cash, or online via the special fundraising form below. All gifts are eligible for a tax receipt. Cash or cheques can be mailed to: OrKidstra (Sistema Ottawa), 211 Bronson Avenue, Studios 204 & 210, Ottawa, Ontario K1R 6H5. Event Information
Harvey and Elizabeth’s Evening for OrKidstra | November 8, 2024
This intimate fundraising event will feature live performances from OrKidstra’s KidStringers (String Ensemble), along with a performance by special guest Margaret Maria, cellist and composer and Co-Founder of OrKidstra. It will be a wonderful evening of music and community with light refreshments provided. We look forward to sharing the OrKidstra story with you and giving you the chance to connect with like-minded supporters.

Location: Harvey Slack’s home (80-263 Botanica Private, Ottawa)
Parking: Visitor parking is available in front of the building and throughout the complex; street parking is also available. Please avoid parking in spots marked “Reserved,” as these are for residents. Accessible parking is available at the front, and the building has a ramp with access buttons for easy entry.
